SWEET POTATO PUREED MASH WITH GRAVY AND GRILLED CHICKEN - DISH 3- "5 SWEET POTATO DISHES"

I never smile...i look clownish, so indulge and laugh now for this is the last smiley picture you will probably ever see of me.

I know mash of any kind is an all time Favorite with kids as well as adults from all works of life, However, what i find from my food adventures is it's extremely hard for most people to do a smooth and lump free mash.
I intend on showing you how.

Lets leave all the chatting for another time /recipe and lets get cooking.

AYSUGGEST'S you have the mash
With Chicken gravy and grilled Chicken
As a side on any pasta dish
With AYSALSA (see previous post)
With AYSCRAMBLED EGG recipe (see previous post)

INGREDIENTS (Serves 4-5)
For the pureed mash
4 large Sweet Potato root tubers (Peel and cut into tiny cubes)
2 cups of warm water
A cup of Semi skimmed milk
3oz of butter

For the Chicken Gravy
Fresh chicken stock ( you can get chicken stock by boiling chicken with water, stock cubes, onions and salt)
1 and a half table spoons of Corn flour
Softened cubed carrots (soften by boiling carrots)

For the Grilled chicken
Check out my future posts to see recipes for 5 amazing grilled chicken dishes...(for now use any chicken you can imagine). I could technically tell you now...but then you would not have any reason to come back...hehe....

PROCESS
Pour the potato cubes and water into a pan boil for about 15 minutes (by cutting the potatoes into small cubes, it gets soft faster). Drain the water out using a sieve after you have confirmed the potatoes has softened thoroughly.
Add the butter to the potatoes while slowly mashing the butter into the potatoes.
Pour the semi mashed potatoes into a food processor with your  milk, and blend. Pour back into a pan and steam on low heat for a further 5 mins. Your mash is ready.

To make the gravy:  dissolve your corn flour in approximately 5-6 teaspoons of room temperature water( you want the paste to be slightly runny not watery).
Boil your chicken stock and when it starts to bubble, reduce the heat. Pour in your corn flour paste slowly and  ensure you are steering it into the stock until the stock starts to thicken . Once it is evenly distributed, boil the gravy for a further 1 minute, add your carrots and take it off the heat. Use immediately.

(To make gravy without chicken stock: Get 2 chicken stock cubes, crush into 2 cups of water until it boils and add the dissolved corn flour and follow the rest of the instruction above)

Serve as i have done here, for one of my AYSUBZ customer or with any of my AYSUGGEST'S.
Thank me later....
